DOJO CUTS support MENAHAN STREET BAND feat. CHARLES BRADLEYPublished on Martedì, 01 Settembre 2009
If you find yourself in Sydney next Thursday 24th of September, Gaelic Club is the place to be! DOJO CUTS feat Roxie Ray will support and share the stage with Brooklyn's very own MENAHAN STREET BAND feat CHARLES BRADLEY. MSB is a collaborative project with musicians from Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, El Michels Affair, Antibalas and the Budos Band, with influences reaching beyond the funk/soul/afrobeat architecture of their other projects and entering the more ethereal realms of Curtis Mayfield and Mulatu Astatke. Joining the Menahan Street Band live on stage will be Mr Charles Bradley, who has distinguished himself over a mess of fine sides for Daptone Records and is now doing the same for Dunham with his glorious 45s 'Heartaches and Pain' and 'The World (Is Going Up In Flames)'. This is pure Soul excitment, folks!
