As long time fans of the Heliocentrics and of everything he puts out we’re very pleased to announce that Malcolm Catto will produce Hannah William’s much awaited second album “Late Nights And Heartbreak”. Malcolm is the boss behind UK psychedelic funk band The Heliocentrics and along with The Heliocentrics' releases has produced some of the best albums of the last decade like “Inspiration Information” by Mulatu Astatke and recently “Jaiyede Afro” by Orlando Julius and “The Last Transmission” by Melvin Van Peebles. Malcolm has also recorded and worked amongst the others with Madlib, DJ Shadow, Floating Points, Quantic and The Poets of Rhythm. Hannah and her new Bristol-based super tight band The Affirmations are currently recording their second full length at Heliocentrics’ headquarter, the Quatermass studio in London.
Blessed by Sharon Jones, Hannah Williams broke into the scene with her debut album “A Hill of Feathers” in 2012 capturing the attention and support of the likes of Mark Lamarr, Charles Bradley, Dj Format and Craig Charles. Her debut single "Work It Out" has garnered over one million views on YouTube. The outfit have made several trips to Europe wowing sold out audiences in France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Greece with notable performances at Mojo Club Hamburg, El Tempo Madrid, MTV Greece, Radio 2 Rai, Shambala, 100club London and at Manchester's Band On The Wall for the Craig Charles club nights. “Late Nights And Heartbreak” will be released later this year on Record Kicks.
