Record Kicks Special on JELLY JAZZ

Published on Lunedì, 13 Dicembre 2010

Set up by DJ Pete Isaac almost 20 years ago, Jelly Jazz is a one of the longest running funk, soul and jazz clubnights of the world, rocking dancefloors far and wide in the South West of England since 1992. Having hosted such names as Gilles Peterson, Andy Smith, Jazzanova, Quantic and having organized concerts by Pucho & The Latin Soul Brothers, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, The New Mastersounds, Lou Donaldson, and many, many more, it is no wonder that Jelly Jazz soon developed an International reputation as one of the livest parties of the UK, even prompting a homonymous weekly radio show presented by Pete on Phonic FM.

A longtime friend and supporter of Record Kicks, Pete Isaac is now launching a special competition on the Jelly Jazz website, with 10 RK 45s up for grabs for one lucky winner. How do you get your hands on this prize you might ask? Just answer one simple question! You can search for clues in the interview Pete did with RK head honcho and A&R NICK RECORDKICKS, regarding how the label got started, its evolution, and what can be expected of it in the near future. Just head on down to to read the interview and follow instructions on how to take part in the competition! Don't wait too long though, all entries must be submitted by Monday December 20th....
