LEGENDARY AFRO-FUNK TAKE ON THE ARCTIC MONKEYS’ BURNER (ltd to 500 copies worldwide) Release Date May 08 / Pre-Order now.

By overwhelming demand, Record Kicks proudly reintroduces a certified modern funk burner: the long-awaited reissue of Baby Charles’ explosive 45 single, featuring their raw and electrifying afro-funk take on Arctic Monkeys’ dancefloor anthem “I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor”.

First pressed in 2008, the single disappeared from shelves in a matter of weeks, quickly earning grail status among DJs and collectors across the globe. Long overdue this essential repress pairs the unstoppable A-side with soul stomper “Time Wasting” on the flip side.

The track originally appeared on Baby Charles’ self-titled debut LP, released in 2008 and now celebrated as a cornerstone of the European deep funk renaissance. Alongside Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators’ Keep Reachin’ Up, the album helped lay the foundation for a new generation of analog-minded soul revivalists across the continent
