It’s time for another great release from Floyd Lawson & The Heart of Stone 1975 unreleased at the time “Coming out” album.
After “k – gee” and “It only takles a minute girl”, another two terrific tracks see the light for the first time on the superior 45 format. On the A side “Air I breathe” a superb 70 soul stomper and on the flip side “Rated X” a deep funk instrumental stormer capable to set every dancefloors on fire.
Floyd Lawson and the Heart of Stone were originally from Philadelfia but moved to Canada in the early 70s. The album “Coming Out” remained un-released and was mainly used as a promotional tool, helping to land gigs within local and international tour circuits. The few LPs pressed by Floyd Lawson at the time are very indemand by soul collectors and now changes hands for vast sums of money.
These tracks are raw authentic and sound as fresh as it did 31 years ago, once again any serius funk & soul djs can’t miss this!
